Parent/child support group is designed to enhance the child’s overall development as well as enhancing the parent’s ability to care for their child. The parent child support groups provide education and guidance to families relative to their child’s individual developmental needs. The group is offered monthly and is generally 1 hour in length.

Who leads the Parent-Child Group?

The group is lead by an appropriately trained professional. These professionals may include: special education teachers, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, service coordinators, social workers, and physical therapists. The professional of the group depends heavily on the overall needs of the parents/ children attending the group. Topics for group are chosen by the individual participants monthly and are driven by need.
